The terrace of Hotel Bendinat has historically been a meeting place for local people and, once seen and experienced, it’s easy to understand why. At one time a group of journalists used to meet regularly here and, when one of them – a lecturer at the university in Palma as well as a journalist – passed away in 1997, his friends requested that the street where the hotel is located be named Carrer Andrés Ferret Sobral in his honour.
