The terrace of Hotel Bendinat has historically been a meeting place for local people and, once seen and experienced, it’s easy to understand why. At one time a group of journalists used to meet regularly here and, when one of them – a lecturer at the university in Palma as well as a journalist – passed away in 1997, his friends requested that the street where the hotel is located be named Carrer Andrés Ferret Sobral in his honour. His name lives on.
The excellent reputation of Hotel Bendinat and its seafront Las Terrazas de Bendinat restaurant has also endured, due to a kind of magic that seems to permeate the place. The location is unique: an oasis of peace, hospitality, and glorious views, located between the two vibrant locations of Palma and the marina of Puerto Portals. First-time visitors are surprised to find this business nestled at the far end of an area of substantial residential properties.
No traffic passes and only the Mediterranean and birdsong can be heard. No wonder a Spanish publication named Las Terrazas del Bendinat as one of Spain’s top ten coastal restaurants.
It’s a popular lunch spot for locals, taking a break from the reality of their world to enjoy the cooling sea breezes and delicious cuisine from chef Sebastián Bellocchio’s busy kitchen. But although Las Terrazas is always full, the spaciousness of the terrace and nature’s acoustics prevent it from feeling crowded. Unlike many other hotel restaurants, it has a long-trousers dress code for men at dinner, adding to the air of sophistication and romance for unforgettable dining overlooking the Mediterranean.

It’s not only hotel guests and Mallorca residents who have been enchanted by the setting of this restaurant in Bendinat: the restaurant’s maître d’ Arsenio Ramírez and many of his team have worked here for years and play an important role in the success of Las Terrazas.
“We have a happy team, always willing to give you the best experience and fulfil your expectations,” says the entire team of the restaurant Las Terrazas del Bendinat.
