Tucked into Palma’s Old Town, Palma Massage Sanctuary offers a more considered approach to bodywork. Here, massage is not treated as a routine service, but as a space to slow down, release tension and reconnect with the body in a meaningful way.
A quieter approach to wellbeing
Palma Massage Sanctuary was created as a response to a common experience: the sense that physical tension and stress are rarely just physical. Many people seek relief through massage, yet find the effects temporary or incomplete. This space approaches the body differently—acknowledging the connection between muscular tension, the nervous system and emotional patterns.
Founded by María del Mar García Carbonell, the practice draws on more than 25 years of experience in physiotherapy, alongside training in psychotherapy and integrative health. Her work has evolved into a method that brings together clinical understanding with a broader awareness of how the body holds stress.
More than a treatment
Each session begins with a short conversation, allowing the treatment to adapt to what is present that day. For some, this may mean focused work on chronic pain or injury. For others, it may be about releasing accumulated tension or slowing the nervous system.
The treatments combine physiotherapy techniques such as myofascial release and deep tissue work with breathwork, assisted stretching and, where appropriate, nervous system regulation methods. The aim is not simply to relax the muscles, but to support a more lasting shift in how the body feels and functions.
A private space in Palma
Located on Carrer Sant Feliu, the studio is intentionally discreet. Sessions are one-to-one and by appointment only, creating a setting where clients can fully switch off without interruption.
The space itself reflects this intention—calm, minimal and designed to support stillness. It is not positioned as a spa environment, but as a place where attention is directed inward.
An experience that continues beyond the session
While many arrive seeking relief from tension or pain, the experience often extends beyond the physical. Clients frequently notice a sense of lightness, clarity or calm that continues after the session, reflecting the interconnected nature of body and mind.
Palma Massage Sanctuary offers a different pace—one that allows time for the body to release, reset and restore balance in its own way.
