Mallorca’s very own Knox Design competed against the crème of interior design outfits for a prestigious global award – and won. The Santa Ponsa based firm, which has been active on the island for 16 years, went up against top names in Monaco, Frankfurt, Switzerland and Milan in the Living Space – Europe category.
The Knox team recently went to work on a luxurious Son Vida villa; a stunning project that caught the eye of the tough board of judges at The International Design and Architecture Awards. Work on the villa encompassed not just the interior, but the transformation of the outdoor terrace with panoramic views of the Bay of Palma.
“Winning this award was the culmination of a great deal of hard work on behalf of myself and my brilliant team” said Justine Knox. “The Son Vida villa was a rather unique project. It’s a modern, geometric structure that required a sense of comfort and warmth; and I think we succeeded in making it a wonderful place for family and friends to enjoy for years to come.
“We’re delighted with the title of award winner for Living Spaces Europe 2016, and we’re going to continue doing what we know and do best – creating beautiful, liveable homes for people on Mallorca.”
The International Design and Architecture Awards are renowned in the industry for highlighting the pick of design around the world. More than 200 special guests attended the early September awards ceremony, held at The Dorchester on London’s Park Lane. Focusing on the residential sector, the awards celebrated the best in design, outstanding architecture, interior design and product designs.
Receiving the award, Justine Knox expressed a heartfelt thank you to all of her clients, friends and supporters over the years. The company encompasses a large Home Store and Interior Design Studio on Poligono Son Bugadelles, and an exciting Concept Store in Portals Nous.
