At Es Niu, the Mediterranean takes centre stage. Perched at the highest point of Costa Canyamel, this private villa built by Consfutur combines scale with serenity, opening its interiors to uninterrupted views of sea and sky. The design is defined by flowing geometry, clean lines and a sensitive use of natural materials, ensuring a seamless dialogue between home and landscape. Beyond its striking presence, Es Niu offers spaces crafted for wellbeing and comfort, from luminous living areas to tranquil retreats, making it not only a residence, but a way of experiencing Mallorca.
Architecture and materials
The vision for Es Niu was to create a residence that blends into its privileged setting, allowing architecture and nature to converse. The villa is composed of three buildings across a 5,000 m² plot, with a total of 1,100 m² of constructed space. Despite its size, the design radiates warmth and lightness. Large windows frame the Mediterranean horizon, while interiors flow towards outdoor terraces and an infinity pool that appears to merge with the sea.
Materials were carefully selected to emphasise both elegance and durability. Grey Zarci stone runs through floors, bathrooms and countertops, creating a strong yet fresh connection to the environment. Wood balances this with warmth and comfort, while iron adds structural clarity. Together, they form a palette that highlights the Mediterranean character of the villa. The effect is one of continuity, where every surface and detail contributes to a harmonious and enduring sense of place.
Living the experience
Es Niu is conceived not just as a home, but as a lived experience. The main house offers three bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, complemented by open living and dining areas that extend into the landscape. Spaces for relaxation abound: a chill-out terrace, yoga room, sauna and barbecue zone invite both shared moments and quiet reflection.
The guest house provides three additional suites and a gym with privileged views across the bay, while a third building houses staff quarters. Modern technology underpins the residence, from underfloor heating to full home automation, ensuring comfort in every season. A thoughtfully planned layout means that every space is both functional and beautiful, inviting connection with nature at every turn.
Walking through Es Niu, one feels a constant dialogue with light, space and sea — a sanctuary that embodies Mallorca’s natural beauty in architectural form.
