It was as a foreign exchange student in the US in the seventies that Egbert Neuhaus, now Managing Director of Wesco, was struck by the bold design of a colourful swing-flap bin. He took this moment of inspiration back home to Germany, where it was redesigned and manufactured at his father’s factory. This became their iconic ‘Pushboy’ trash can and it launched the company’s now globally renowned brand of kitchen appliances.
And this spirit of inspiration has since become a cornerstone of the business, best demonstrated in their wonderful Villa Wesco showrooms. Just one of two in the world, the Villa Wesco Mallorca is located in the town of Santa Maria del Camí – a setting deliberately chosen for its traditional Mallorcan charm. The space extends across two beautifully restored townhouses, where visitors are immersed in a veritable oasis of carefully curated homeware and designer products.
Together with a selection of Wesco’s own design classics, their impeccably tasteful collection includes top global brands such as Dedon, Des pots, Lambert, Blomus, Manutti, Tuuci and Scapa Home.
