Located on a rustic estate in the interior of Mallorca, this single-family home with a swimming pool by 353 Arquitectes was conceived to blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. The tranquillity of the setting and the natural beauty of the area inspired a project defined by serenity, functionality, and environmental respect. Every design decision strengthens the relationship between architecture and place, resulting in a contemporary home that embraces the calm of the Mallorcan countryside and honours the island’s enduring building traditions.
The 420 m² house unfolds entirely on one level, promoting comfort, accessibility, and a direct connection with the outdoors. It comprises four bedrooms, one of them en suite, a spacious living-dining area, a playroom, and a large porch that blurs the boundaries between inside and out. The presence of pergolas creates soft, shifting shadows that follow the sun’s path, transforming the façades throughout the day and encouraging daily life in constant dialogue with nature and light.
The 40 m² swimming pool, positioned in close relation to the house, integrates visually and functionally through expansive windows and a generous porch that acts as a natural extension of the interior. Together, they establish a seamless continuity between the built environment and the landscape.
Material selection was guided by coherence with the environment—local stone, traditional tiles, and natural finishes that harmonise with the area’s aesthetic. This approach reinforces the home’s integration into the landscape while bringing warmth, character, and authenticity to the architectural composition.
For 353 Arquitectes, this project reflects their philosophy: to create architecture that is both integrated and respectful of its context. With sensitivity and awareness of their impact, they design spaces to be lived in and enjoyed, contributing to the preservation and enrichment of Mallorca’s landscape heritage.
