How to lose 3 kilos in 5 days!

Target: Lose 3 Kilos by the 7th of January 2013 …..

The celebrations are over and it’s time to pay the price for all the Roses chocolates I’ve eaten over the past weeks. The diet starts today!

I know the only way to do this is to eat considerably less and do some cardio workouts. So this morning my breakfast consisted of a fresh orange juice and a green tea.

I’ve done one hour in the gym – doing 10 minute sessions on the cross-trainer, 10 minutes aerobics with Tracy Anderson video and 10 minutes of squats (which is really difficult but great for the bum) and finally 10 minutes on the running machine.  I can’t say I’m feeling on top of the world, particularly when I look in the mirror :-( but at least I’ve made a start!

For lunch I’m having a homemade vegetable soup and for dinner a grilled chicken fillet with some veg.  Hopefully I’ll be able to resist all the sweet stuff that is still in the cupboard (perhaps I should give theses away – difficult to part with Jaffa Cakes!).

If any one also needs to drop a few kilos after Christmas – do let me know your tips and lets see if we can motivate each other…….

I’ll keep you posted on how I get on each day – it might just help me stay focused!!!

    Hi Daniela, yes my honesty is important I think as other wise its so easy to fool yourself. I hope to do better today!! I love hill walking - if you need some company let me know! Hxxx

    Daniela Nunzia Morrone mountain hiking is a great way to move..I totally love it at weekends when we go too..Then combining it with a healthier lifestyle of less fatty foods, adding on more water to your diet, you should see great results this way too..Enjoy my dear!!!!

    I am very inspired by Ms Cummin's honesty in her goal to shed the 3 kilos in 5 days - especially in her most recent post where she revealed her absolute honesty and last night's if I may be allowed to use the term, 'betrayal' towards her evening supper. @ Susanne, as I regularly go hiking, the other day, with our group, we walked 12.5 km's (mostly up hill) in the Mallorcan mountains - would any grams have been shed, do you think? Am too trying to shed the pounds... Walking mimics exercise, does it not? Thank you for allowing me to share...

    Sorry guys..have to dissapoint you all...You have to get on with the workouts NOW...3 kilos lost in 5 days will mainly be liquids stored from fattty foods, salt and excesive cocktails..Fat will not be LOST in 5 days...Get to gym and move!!!!! WELLCOME to 2013...

    I favour the alternate day fast: Eat normally one day and on the 'fast' day no more than 600 calories. This way you don't feel deprived, because on a fast day you can look forward to the next day when you eat normally! Good luck Helen!
