Located just a few minutes from Palma, in a quiet residential area, Project Philippines by CSV is a villa which gets natural light from early morning until late afternoon. The property has a distinct texture, with locally sourced Mares sandstone in the wine cellar, a Gris Zarci stone cantilevered staircase, and oak wood panelling that conceals doors without breaking the visual flow of the property. A sense of continuity runs through the house with seamless finishes. The large windows, spacious living areas, and magnificent terrace with infinity pool make this project a unique and luxurious base for life in Mallorca.

Architectural innovation and enduring materials

Philippines welcomes you with an open, light-filled porch with unobstructed views, thanks to its 12-meter span between pillars. It was an innovative design decision that overcame the traditional maximum span of 6-8 meters. Vehicles access a sleek, industrial area with exposed concrete and semi-polished concrete paving providing low long-term maintenance and a minimal environmental footprint. To enhance the space, discreet recessed lighting allows the wall to glow softly at night while keeping all technical components out of sight.

Mares stone, a warm, locally quarried sandstone that embodies the island’s heritage, is featured in the wine cellar. Inclined aluminium slats give the property privacy and protection from the elements without compromising natural light. Between them, recessed spotlights are controlled through a home automation system.

The home’s striking cantilevered staircase is a sculptural element. Built on a concealed metal framework, it gives the impression of floating mid-air. Gris Zarci stone treads, glass balustrades and a natural oak lattice extends from the basement to the upper floor, tying the levels together.
Throughout the interiors, oak wood unifies doors, bathroom cabinetry, wardrobes, and wall panelling, concealing doors and extending furniture lines, free of interruptions.
