On 30th May at 7:30pm, Fil Suites hosted an opening party for guests to come and see their newly-renovated rooms and suites. Situated in Plaza Raimundo Clar, FIL Suites offers luxury accommodation for those looking for a break in old town Palma. The event was a joint coming-together of all the plaza, with fantastic food by Raimundo Burger, Botons, La Gindilla, La Vieja Gastronomia and Beer Lovers.
Fil Suites’ intriguing past was a talking-point for everyone at the party. It is a building that has lived a chequered history as a military base, textile factory amongst other things. Its original features have been perfectly restored to reveal beautiful Mallorcan stone archways and painted fabric templates that were used back in the factory’s heyday. The singer Marga Rotger provided a wonderful backdrop to an enjoyable evening in one of Palma’s most historic plazas.
