Evolution! Mallorca International Film Festival kicked off in the iconic bar of the old Gran Hotel in Mallorca this week, a fitting scene for cocktails courtesy of Castell Miquel, one of its sponsors.
Festival goers then gathered within the atmospheric walls of Teatro Principal to hear organiser Sandra Seeling Lipski give a special thanks to all for making possible this special event, the sixth on the island, and to watch the premier of The Song of Sway Lake, by Ari Gold, american filmmaker.
The highlight of this year’s ceremony was the attendance of Canadian director, writer and producer Paul Haagis, who received the inaugural ‘Evolution VISION Award’.
Evolution! will culminate in a lavish award ceremony and after party at Gerhard Braun Gallery, one of the capital’s hottest cultural spots, at the end of festival week.
