In the foothills of the Tramuntana, La Samantina takes its cues from the landscape around it. Stone, warm mineral tones and natural materials give the house a quiet solidity, while generous openings draw mountain views and changing light deep into the interiors. Contemporary in expression but unmistakably connected to Mallorca, the home brings architecture, furniture and bespoke design together with an unusual sense of ease.
A contemporary finca
La Samantina is shaped by a simple idea: the house should appear to belong to its setting. Minimal Studio draws on familiar elements of Mallorcan architecture, then pares them back into a cleaner contemporary language. Views of the mountains, natural light and the movement between interior rooms and outdoor areas do much of the expressive work.
Espacio Home Design approached the interiors with the same restraint. Molteni&C furniture appears throughout in clean forms, natural materials and a limited palette, adding comfort and definition while preserving the visual continuity of the architecture. Rather than functioning as a series of individual statements, the pieces establish a consistent atmosphere from one space to the next.
The principal dressing rooms were conceived with equal attention to clarity and cohesion. Practical storage becomes part of the wider interior scheme, complementing the proportions and finishes of the house without drawing attention away from them. The result is an interior that feels composed but never overly arranged, allowing the stone architecture and surrounding scenery to remain present throughout.

Depth in the details
The kitchen, designed by Birgit Müller, introduces a richer material contrast. Walnut cabinetry brings depth against the home’s cream and mineral tones, while bronze details add warmth and will develop character naturally over time. Light natural stone balances the darker elements and keeps the space luminous. “We wanted the character of the kitchen to come from the natural variation, texture and honesty of the materials themselves,” explains Felicitas Wolf, Managing Partner of Birgit Müller.
Across La Samantina, each contribution serves the same broader intention. The architecture frames the landscape, while the interiors bring comfort, function and continuity to the experience of living within it. Nothing seeks attention in isolation; the strength of the project lies in how naturally its materials, spaces and surroundings come together.
