A Touch of Glamour

Photographer Gábor Márton captures sizzling summer collection

The summer season is off to a hot start with beautiful floaty dresses from Roberto Cavalli in French navy blue pattern (as seen here) and sizzling hot reds (kaftan) high on every woman’s wish list. The Missoni summer collection 2012 is right on trend with mint green and a touch of gold (as shown here), or beige, gold and tan as well as bright purple and lilac or orange swim-wear colour combinations. Choose from elegant long dresses (the long blue long a-line Missoni dress pictured here) which look fantastic going to the beach with a big straw hat and flat sandals or dress up the look with high heels and a gold or silver clutch.

Effortless glamour is the hot trend for summer 2012. The look is easily achieved by wearing body-defining, bright coloured long or knee length dresses such as the long green dress from Iceberg or the short yellow one from BLACK Boss worn with big sunglasses and groomed hair. One of the most beautiful pieces from Escada Sport this summer is the tan leather dress which is a classic piece.

The Italian designer Pinko are offering neon coloured knitted dresses as well as this long halter neck dress worn here with a beige leather jacked from Rialto Living and the pink jumpsuit cut off below the knee.

Keep the make-up natural looking adding a touch of colour to the cheeks and lips. Emphasizing the eyes with eyeliner and mascara and you are good to go…….

The inspiration for this shoot was the fantastic location of Hospes Maricel – one of the oldest hotels in Mallorca – it’s privileged position beside the sea, the architecture of the buildings perfectly blending old and contemporary together.

It was my first time to work with fashion photographer Gábor Márton an intense, young photographer with a lot of experience and enthusiasm for the job.  His model girlfriend Nora Natisz, who has graced the cover of Vogue and Elle and is in high demand all over Europe, assisted on the shoot.

The model Alicja Ruchala originally from Poland flew to the island for the shoot and brought her years of experience to bear on the result. Monika Hübert the make-up artist and hair stylist did a nice job of making the best of Alicija’s natural beauty but keeping the look simple and understated.
