Located in Mallorca’s Levante region, Casa Eliana is the reinvention of an old ranch into a warm and contemporary family home. Project manager Cristina Amengual of dioh!, working closely with owners Toni and Eliana, set out to preserve the rustic essence of the property while creating a sanctuary for modern family life. Natural fabrics, organic textures, and a soothing palette of neutrals define the interiors, balanced by handpicked furniture and artisanal details. The result is a home that welcomes rest, creativity, and togetherness, offering a harmonious dialogue between rustic tradition, contemporary design, and the surrounding Mediterranean landscape.
A welcoming entrance
The design journey begins even before stepping inside. At the entrance, a set from Dareels – complete with cushions, vases, and natural textures – integrates seamlessly with the olive tree and stone façade, immediately connecting the home to its landscape. This spirit continues into the living area, where an Organic Design sofa and a Peralta Vidal fringed lamp create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
“The living room, dining room, and kitchen form a single open space that breathes freshness and light,” Cristina Amengual explains. Here, pieces by Vical, Dareels, and Vincent Sheppard combine to create an airy yet grounded environment. Wood beams overhead and expansive openings enhance the natural character, while bespoke lighting ensures the home feels both serene and uplifting.
Personalised family spaces
For Toni and Eliana, Casa Eliana had to be as functional as it is inspiring – a place where every family member has space to grow. The children’s rooms reflect this perfectly. Their daughter’s serene space features Dareels bedding, while their son’s room pairs playful wallpaper with Bed&Philosophy linens and made-to-measure furniture by Jotajotape, designed to optimise storage and adapt as he matures.
Throughout, natural linens, large reclaimed wood mirrors, and subtle textures tie the interiors together, creating cohesion without sacrificing individuality. In the master suite, a freestanding bath brings spa-like calm, while carefully layered textiles and lighting invite everyday comfort.
As Amengual reflects: “Our goal was to keep the ranch’s soul alive, while giving the family a home that feels fresh, functional, and deeply personal.” The result is Casa Eliana – a contemporary rustic sanctuary where authenticity, creativity, and family life flourish side by side.
