Carola and Jörg Brinkmöller know the subtle difference between “furnishing a home” and “feeling at home”. “Whenour home was built on Mallorca, we got almost everything from Germany: kitchen, furniture, beds, decorative items, specialists …” recalls
Carola. “This was not only expensive but also not particularly in keeping with the times, alone for environmental reasons.

We simply lacked the trust for getting everything from here.” By this they mean the right contacts and a reliable network.

During all this they also realised that they weren’t alone with this problem but that there were many others on the island in a similar position. When property expert Luci Hauri then showed the couple the Location East 26, a commercial building on stunning grounds in the middle of Santanyí, they came up with the idea of KOYO. “We had a clear vision straightaway and now also have valuable contacts,” adds Jörg who, as sales manager, has an extensive and international network.

Carola and Jörg have set up a concept store in the back area of the spacious courtyard with modern, Mediterranean and functional furniture as well as decorative items out of various woods, bamboo, rattan and natural fibres.

An area in which you can escape stress and daily life and in which furniture, mirrors, carpets, storm lanterns, lamps and plants as well as also jewellery and fashion create a vibrant, feel-good atmosphere. They also work with international partners e.g. Rivièra Maison and a proven supplier network of further, high-quality furniture manufacturers as well as an experienced local team. Shortly afterwards, a gourmet restaurant moved into the courtyard and the site has now transformed into an oasis of inspiration and tranquillity. “We are all born into a life but people who settle on Mallorca not only want to furnish
their homes but also fulfil a dream here and create their own personal haven of tranquillity,” sums up Carola.

“This led to a type of liberation, a sense of ease and lightness which should also be reflected in the furnishings. It is this sense of lightness that we want to give our customers!” “Can I move in here …?” It was this question from a visitor which then led to the next step.

Since then, Carola and her team have been furnishing homes on the island with immense love and enthusiasm. “And the concept store in Santanyí is our business card, so to speak.”
