Starring mink and animal prints
Set in the magnificent grounds of the Gran Hotel Son Net the fashion-shoot had all the ingredient to make it one of the most glamours and stylish shoots for abcMallorca and given that it would be published in the celebratory 50th edition of abcMallorca it had to be something very special.
September issue is always special – the visitors to the island at that time of year are interested in cultural events, gourmet restaurants, golf and sightseeing so our shoot was fitting to this type of readership who appreciates our definition of luxury lifestyle.
The models included local girl Laura and German model Nathalie both from Palm Studios. Make-up artists Ayla and Coco created the 50s look to perfection with bright glossy lips, full eyebrows and clear toned skin. The hair was rolled and curled and clipped loosely at the back.
The experienced photographers Vikki (who did the shoot) and Karl (who assisted with the lighting and technical part) were keen to capture the atmosphere of the era of the 50s as well as taking full advantage of the glorious surroundings.
The devil is in the detail and this was where the expertise of the abcMallorca team came into play with the co-operation of local businesses such as Russell Stevens from Mallorca Driving www.mallorcadriving.com who provided the classic Porsche 550 Spyder replica and the Jaguar and James Bonardel from Motorama www.motorama.biz who provided the motorbike.
The vintage table setting for the picnic in the park was prepared by Gloria Events www.gloria-events.com and the food styling was done by Senal from Cupcake Sisters www.cupcake-sisters.com.
The clothing highlights from the shoot included:
• The grey mink fur cut-off sleve jacket from Pinko 4.210 euros.
• The green and black mink fur three quarter length sleve jacket from Munper in Inca 2.520 euros.
