The summer is here, though we’d already been living it with intensity for a few weeks. Bit by bit, we’re shedding those ties and bowties to turn ourselves into laid-back and elegant types ready to alight from a Jaguar to board a Sunseeker yacht at Port Adriano, and from there turn up at a beach bar in Palmanova. It’s called ‘El Chiringo’ and many of the most beautiful faces on the island were there for a launch party hosted by Aída Velón, whom I also bumped into at the party hosted by Juan Luis Pérez de Eulate at Purobeach for his clients at La Vinoteca, one of Mallorca’s most glamorous spots.
Others who never rest are the Fuster family of the Relojería Alemana, the hosts of the Rolex Golf Tournament held at Son Gual. It was a fabulous day. Meanwhile, the Rituals cosmetics shop on Jaime III was launched in the presence of Victoria Maldi and Dana Swarovski.
The Rana Foundation annual fundraiser has become a ritual. Extremely elegant women from high society, men in tuxedos, a Hindu atmosphere and the hospitality of the Ecarrer family in the Hotel Palas Atenea were enough for solidarity to return and show that it can and must be distinguished.
Finally, I get into a magnificent Jaguar to lose myself in the beauty of the Hilton Sa Torre, where we were marvellously attended at a luxury business lunch, those from this house, abcMallorca, which is all yours.
