The Palacio Can Marqués provided a particularly picturesque setting for the celebration of its recent opening as Palma’s newest five-star boutique hotel. Arrivals filled the 18th-century property’s covered courtyard, which features a beautifully symmetrical staircase and soaring stone arches. Greeted with a glass of chilled cava, those invited comprised the likes of local professionals, yacht owners, and journalists; some of the first guests to check in to the hotel also joined the party.
In anticipation of rain, a marquee had been erected in the hotel’s secluded garden area where guests also mingled with finger food prepared by chef Alejandro Peris. The hotel’s impressive interiors, by designer Aline Matsika, were also revealed to guests with tours given covering a selection of the hotel’s elegant suites.
