Return to India: Luis Maraver at Rialto Living

Opening of Sevillian artist’s India-inspired works

The opening of Luis Maraver’s latest exhibition attracted a diverse mixture of art enthusiasts and industry professionals to lifestyle store – and Palma art scene hub – Rialto Living on the 31st of May.

Drawing inspiration from his recent trip to India – it was 14 years since his last visit – the works reflect his wealth of experiences traveling from Bangalore, in the south of the country, to Anantapur and later Hampi and Badami.

“India remains that contradictory and diverse country. A complex and unique universe, full of spirituality, joy and drama,” the artist noted in his travel journals during the trip.

Maraver has exhibited widely across Spain and in many locations in Europe, but Mallorca has become a favourite for the Seville-born artist.

You can see Maraver’s ‘Return to India’ exhibition at Rialto Living from now until the 3rd July 2018.
