A touch of 'Downton Abbey' glamour
For this autumn/winter 2012/2013 fashion season, the luxury brand Louis Vuitton invites us onto the Louis Vuitton Express, going back in time to the glamorous and exotic days of first class train travel and influenced by the highly successful TV series “Downton Abbey”. Models descended from a real steam train onto the Edwardian runway that was located in an old train station in Paris, wearing creations from top designer Marc Jacobs.
The models were wearing intricately brocaded dresses, glamorous big hats and sunglasses, while valets carried their ornate handbags, luggage and hat boxes behind them. Marc Jacobs used leather in jackets to create a more rigid structure, embellished with large jewel-encrusted buttons and clean-cut designs, creating a timeless look. The ‘70s are definitely celebrating their comeback this season with Louis Vuitton also joining the psychedelic pantsuit mania seen in the Prada collection. Mixed with high turtlenecks, the height of sophisticated heritage was topped off with maxi sunglasses and extremely tall hats.
Louis Vuitton is right for you if you like to travel in style, everywhere you go. After all, every woman deserves luxury!
