A”TROPIC-O” paradise at Rialto Living

Katrin Kirk exhibits a new series of artwork

On September 21, Rialto Living, opened “Tropic-o,” an exhibition of new work by Danish artist, Katrin Kirk.

Kirk, who lives and works on Mallorca, makes sculptural, mixed media art that uses fine steel mesh as a primary medium. Tropic-o is like walking though a tropical wonderland. The work on view reflects her interest in nature and colour which comes from living in Mallorca.

Brightly painted and bold images of tropical flowers, plants, and fruits like pineapples, jump off the canvas while sculptures include a mesh palm plant painted in Yves Klein blue and hanging, grey jellyfish. At once transparent and sculptural, her process is unique and captivating.

“Tropic-o” is sure to give you plenty of visual and creative inspiration!
