Celebrities visit Mallorca

Stars fly in to enjoy the island

Summer has brought with it plenty of celebrities to the Baleares. Eva Longoria was spotted sightseeing in Palma with her husband , José Bastón last week. The pair, who married last year, took a guided tour around the old town ahead of a charity engagement with Global Gift Foundation. The event was held at The Casino de Mallorca; Amaury Nolasco from ‘Prison Break’ and Spanish model Lorena Bernal were also on the guest list.

Paris Hilton was also recently in Palma as part of her ‘Gold Rush’ Tour, DJing at the recently refurbished Tito’s night club on the paseo maritimo. She last appeared at the club 10-years ago.

Renowned Jazz pop singer and award winner of multiple Grammys , George Benson, flew in to the island for a concert in Port Adriano. The stylish port has attracted plenty of big names since its Philippe Starke makeover, including Sir Tom Jones and Gloria Gaynor.

Many of the celebrities will most likely be sunning themselves away from prying eyes on their superyachts… but stay alert and you might happen to bump into a famous face popping into the supermarket, like I did last week. The Mallorcan singer and contestant of the first ever series Operación Triunfo reality TV show, Chenoa, headed into Eroski, looking casual and relaxed in a loose fitting Maxi dress.
