Andreu Maimó at Rialto Living

Local artist depicts the slow passage of time at new exhibit

An exhibition of work by the Mallorcan Artist, Andreu Maimó, launched this week at Rialto Living. The implacable and slow passage of time was the main theme, which he transmitted through a close study of decaying fruit, dry clusters of grapes and twisted figs. Visitors agreed that his graphics depicted a sense of poetry and extraordinary simplicity.

Maimó was born in 1946 in “Cas Concos des Cavaller”, Felanitx. His body of work includes paintings, sculptures, xylography and lithography. His talent has been celebrated at events across Mallorca, including the popular Nit de L’Art in his hometown.

As ever, guest received a warm welcome at the much-loved lifestyle store. Rialto Living puts on a number of intriguing exhibitions at their gallery throughout the year.
