Prada Autumn / Winter Collection 2012

Mod-fashion with a psychedelic twist

 In Fashion

Supposedly the devil wears Prada and now we know why: Miuccia Prada is a fashion genius! Prada once again surprised us this autumn with a modern take on mod-fashion-style-meets-mosaic. Psychedelic patterns from the ‘70s made a comeback on strong-cut trouser suit combinations creating a futuristic look for the sophisticated and powerful woman.

Colour trends ranged from head-to-toe black to a mix of geometric and wildly bold jacquard patterns. Embroidery and chunky stones and jewels are without a doubt an upcoming trend for this season – decorating jackets, skirts and trousers. Mixed with big belts they create a new modern way for owning these mod-style above-ankle trouser suits. The handbag trend for this season is influenced by the ‘50s and long sleeveless coats are a must in every fashionista’s closet.

We look forward to seeing the high street take on the Prada collection, which is sure to be a major influence on what the shops will offer this season.
