Royal and celebrity guests attend the launch
Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton opened its first store and studio dedicated entirely to high-end jewellery and watches on Tuesday the 3rd of July. The outlet is located in the exclusive Place Vendôme in central Paris, just around the corner from where Louis Vuitton himself opened his first shop in 1854.
Joining current Louis Vuitton president and CEO Yves Carcelle, incoming CEO of Louis Vuitton Malletier Jordi Constans and Lorenz Bäumer, the artistic director of Louis Vuitton high-end jewellery, were celebrities, aristocrats and royalty.
Guests included Princess Charlene of Monaco, Academy Award winners Catherine Deneuve and Sofia Coppola, actress Kirsten Dunst, model Natalia Vodianova and stylist Caroline Sieber.
In homage to artistic creativity, the new store will exhibit three pieces of contemporary art designed and made by Teresita Fernandez, Farhad Moshiri and Rashid Rana.
The store was renovated and designed by Peter Marino, the renowned American architect who has masterminded some of the most exclusive outlets in the world.
After more than 150 years of producing luxury goods, the long wait for Louis Vuitton’s first store and studios dedicated to high-end jewellery and watches is now over.
