We arose early to catch the first show of the second day of Fashion Week Berlin 2013 featuring the new Winter Collection 2013 – 2014 by German designer Anja Gockel.
The luxury tent, erected for the occasion of Fashion Week at the historic site of the Brandenburg Gate, was abuzz with excitement as Gockel is widely considered to be one of the best in Germany.
Having started her career with Vivienne Westwood in London, Anja has enjoyed many successful years in the competitive fashion industry.
The Gockel collection for winter 2013 is an array of eye-catching, jewel coloured silk prints for dresses, jackets and trousers designed in-house.
Details on the lavender coloured jackets included gathering at the lower back and down the sleeves to give a sexy shape to the female figure.
‘Women I am‘ pays homage to the femininity, sophistication, elegance and glamour of the modern women.
My personal favourites (which I hope will grace my wardrobe soon) are the multi-jewel coloured, weaved coat in a slightly military influence with a double-line of buttons down the front and the pale pink short skirt which can be combined fantastic with one of the multi-coloured jumpers with a big roll-neck collar.
Anja’s collection is fun to wear. The quality of the fabrics can be seen from afar and the unique Gockel design and inspiration is found in each and every piece of her new collection.
Well done Anja!
